Minotaur

Omar Bautista is a 60-year-old man who was sentenced to prison for murder. After almost a decade in prison, Omar gets the benefit of 72-hour releases. A documentary filmmaker tries to follow him during these leaves, which turn into a sort of psychological hunt.

Minotaur dramatizes by placing a character in the frame who will constantly rebel against any and all attempts to rein him in, to define him, to even follow him. The film is then a battle between two competing impulses and becomes a fascinating stage for these questions of documentary ethics and authorship.
